Your Were Meant To me, written by William Peterkin when he was 17, came out on Donny Hathaway's Best of in 1978. This single is the US promo 45 RPM incl. a short version (2:49 min) and a long one (3:45). The song reached #17 in the US R&B charts.

Wolfgang's Vault website put online the first 35 min of the Carnegie Hall show online. Donny recorded it on june 30th 1973 in NYC, few days after the release of Extension Of A Man. King Curtis was a great saxophonist who played with Nat Adderley, Aretha Franklin, Wynton Kelly, Sam Cooke and lionel Hampton among others. He was also the man who saw Donny Hathaway at a record fair & convinced his label, Atlantic, to sign the young guy.This album is a compilation of tunes recorded between 1958 & 1969.
