On Saturday July 15th, 1972 at 8pm, Roberta Flack & Donny Hathaway played at The Spectrum, an 18 000 seats indoor Arena in Philadelphia, PA (USA). Tickets were sold $4.50, $5.50 & $6.50. Two Months earlier, They recorded a 2 hours show at University of California (UCLA) in Los Angeles for Atlantic Records but unfortunately this show has never seen the light of the day.

Unknown date 2nd printing (stamped on the reverse) 13" x 21" boxing-style concert poster for R&B legend Etta James and her revue (featuring David "Guitar" Bonds") appearing with Donny ("Donnie" !) Hathaway and Larry Love at the Top Hat Nightclub in Los Angeles, CA on sept 7th, 1970. Very thick and scarce cardboard poster.

This is the US original pressbook for the promotion of the movie Come Back Charleston Blue released in June 1972. The soundtrack was written by Donny Hathaway, "this young performer who had been scoring so heavily in the record field and in concerts teamed with Roberta Flack, is a decidedly hot name".

Jean-Yves Mougin is a swiss painter & is been a soul music lover since the 60s. He's a big fan of Ray Charles & Donny Hathaway. A few years ago, he made a painting of Donny Hathaway.

You can see his work HERE.

One of his paintings was used for the cover of a "lost" Sam Moore's album called Plenty good lovin'.

This LP was originally recorded in 1970-1971 for Atlantic but never came out at that time.

This amazing album was published in 2001 on swing Café label. Donny played the piano on several tracks. Others musicians are King Curtis, Bernard Purdie, Chuck Rainey, Cornell Dupree or Aretha Franklin (piano, backing vocals) !

This is the original box of Everything Is Everything master tape. It was Donny's first album, mastered on May 16th, 1970.

Concert ticket, NYC 1971

On May 21, 1971 Donny Hathaway, Leon Russell & Taj Mahal played at Fillmore East, NYC, USA.

Show was at 8pm. Ticket price at $5.50 !

Donny Hathaway Played at the International amphitheatre in Chicago on wednesday September 27, 1972 during the Dr. Martin Luther king jr. awards night. This show was a part of Jesse Jackson's Push Expo concerts.

This advert was published in a US newspaper in 1971. Donny played 7 nights (August 24-30) at The Troubadour, Hollywood, in Los Angeles. The shows were recorded for the album called Live (1972). It was suppose to be a double LP but Atlantic didn't agree. Some songs were published after Donny's death on the LP In Performance (1980) & in 2004 on the CD called These songs for you, live (2004).
