The Music, Life and Times (Feb 24, 2012)

As part of the their annual Black History Month celebration, Crossroads
Tabernacle will present The Music, Life and Times of Donny Hathaway in a
one-man styled show featuring Nazario Maisonet as Donny Hathaway. The
drama and multimedia production involves musical journeys, led by
Hathaway himself, in a 1st person-retrospective style that includes his most
intimate recordings and performances. This experience recreates the
defining moments of Hathaway’s life, including bouts with mental illness and
his shocking death ruled a suicide.

Crossroads Tabernacle, as a local Bronx church, is no stranger to theater
and the arts, having presented off-Broadway favorites such as "Run Baby,
Run!" (The Story Of Nicky Cruz), "Man In The Middle", The 2 Train", "Roof
Top", and countless other concert productions featuring the gospel hip hop
troop, The Storytellas. Crossroads is also the home of The Boden Center
Performing Arts where children and adults train in the disciplines of ballet,
modern dance and instrumental music.

Nazario Maisonet (NYC) is experienced in the breadth of the performing
arts. From stage and film to television, Maisonet has written, directed and
starred in numerous off-Broadway productions, including all of the
aforementioned, along with films by Universal Pictures and commercials by
Qwest.
